Freedom Baseball

Competitive baseball. Intentional development. Christ-centered mentorship.

Developing athletes spiritually, mentally, physically, and relationally through baseball.

Our Development Model

⚾ Physical

We are committed to helping athletes grow in strength, skill, athleticism, and baseball IQ through intentional coaching and competitive development. Our goal is to prepare players to compete with confidence, discipline, and excellence both on and off the field.

🧠 Mental

Baseball is a game that challenges confidence, focus, resilience, and character. We help players develop mental toughness, emotional maturity, accountability, and the ability to respond well to adversity in both sports and life.

👥 Relational

We believe sports provide a powerful environment for building healthy relationships, teamwork, leadership, and communication. Freedom Baseball emphasizes brotherhood, mentorship, family involvement, and a culture where players learn to encourage and serve others well.

✝ Spiritual

Our desire is to help players understand their identity in Christ and grow in faith, character, and servant leadership. Through mentorship, discipleship, and intentional conversations, we seek to use baseball as a platform to point young men toward a deeper relationship with Jesus.

More Than Baseball

We believe baseball provides one of the greatest environments to develop leadership, discipline, resilience, and faith in the next generation.

Our Story

After years of coaching baseball at multiple levels, Freedom Baseball was born from a conviction that the game can be used for far more than wins and losses. Founder Luke Sawyer coached collegiately at Colorado Christian University from 2012–2015 before serving as a missionary in the Dominican Republic and later coaching at St. Petersburg College, mentoring players who would eventually go on to professional baseball and the major leagues.

Through years of coaching, ministry, and chaplaincy in professional baseball, one thing became increasingly clear: the greatest impact of baseball is not what happens on the field — it is who young men become because of it.

Freedom Baseball exists to develop athletes physically, mentally, relationally, and spiritually while creating a culture of leadership, accountability, brotherhood, and faith both on and off the field.
